protel Vouchers: Half the pain, twice the gain

November 2008 - At the beginning of December the eagerly awaited extension of protel's hotel software starts its pilot phase. The Flair Hotel Nieder in Bestwig (Germany) is the first protel customer who will apply the new protel module to sell vouchers in order to boost their turnover. Issuing, selling, printing and redeeming vouchers - protel Vouchers puts the professional handling of voucher sales at your fingertips.

Vouchers become more and more popular - with guests as well as with hotel managers. In Great Britain, for example, the overall annual sales of vouchers are growing at 24 %. These days there are hotels that actually make most of their turnover by selling vouchers. The new voucher module is seamlessly integrated in protel's hotel software and radically reduces the administrative strain often associated with voucher sales.

protel Vouchers allows you to issue and prepare vouchers for various purposes. You start by creating in the protel system data one or more voucher templates with certain parameters (name, purpose, value etc.) on the basis of three predefined voucher types. These templates can later be used in protel Front Office to issue, sell and print specific vouchers without further ado.

The chosen parameters make sure that a voucher will be correctly posted when it is redeemed. Package vouchers, for example, which refer to distinct purposes, can only be applied to predefined invoice items. Moreover, protel Voucher Module enables you to monitor all sold and fully or partially redeemed vouchers at any time.

The rollout will start directly after the testing phase. Please note that protel Vouchers is a licensed add-on module. It is available for our hotel management software protel SPE and the property management system protel MPE but not for our reservation software protel smart.
