April 2010 - In Austria's easternmost and youngest province, the Burgenland, the Austrian team of protel hotelsoftware GmbH achieved a coup: From July 2010 on, Reiter's Burgenland Resort will be managed with protel MPE. The award-winning five-star resort of hotelier and wellness pioneer Karl Reiter counts among the leading recreational retreats in Austria.

A 120 hectare property, one five star and one four star hotel, a golf and tennis club, an equestrian club featuring thoroughbred Lipizzaner horses and a restaurant awarded two toques by the most important and influential Austrian gourmet guide, Gault Millau: All these components make Reiter's Burgenland Resort one of Austria's most exclusive hotel complexes. From July 2010 on, this superior resort will be managed with protel MPE. In addition, the modules protel Banquet and protel Voucher, as well as the protel Web Booking Engine will be employed.

One of the decisive factors for the replacement of the old system was Reiter's acquisition of the Allegria Hotel Stegersbach in March 2009: The former Thermen-Resort Stegersbach has been a satisfied protel customer of long standing. Upon direct comparison, protel could score decisively and convinced the hotelier to employ protel across all of his hotels in future. Apart from the Burgenland Resort, this also includes the renowned Posthotel in Tyrolean Achenkirch.

Karl Reiter's story is a story of success: In 2004, he acquired today's Wellness Hotel Supreme and the Hotel Avance in Bad Tatzmannsdorf, laying the foundation of Reiter's Burgenland Resort. The two hotels focus on different target groups, realising a unique recreational concept in the east of Austria: Each hotel actively concentrates on the particular needs of either "travellers with children" or "travellers without children". Reiter's success is underlined by the recent top ranking as best wellness and recreational hotel in the Relax Guide 2010.
